For over 20 years, the client has developed and patented vaccines designed to enhance the immune system’s ability to respond to infections more rapidly and effectively. In addition to developing its own products, the company operates as a trusted Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), supporting pharmaceutical companies at various stages of drug development and production. Over time, the client has earned significant trust from regulatory authorities, becoming a key supplier of vaccines, antibiotics, and other critical therapies. As part of its commitment to drug integrity and delivering high-quality products and services, the company is actively refining its manufacturing processes and systems.
To support their growing operations and regulatory needs, the client initiated the implementation of the LabVantage Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) across its research and development (R&D), clinical, and quality control (QC) laboratories. In the first phase, the Environmental Monitoring (EM) module and Jasper Reporting were deployed in the manufacturing labs; however, the client encountered challenges related to reporting accuracy, dashboard performance, and compliance with global regulatory standards. With increasing demands for data integrity and operational transparency, there was a clear need for more robust and efficient reporting tools.
Clarkston was engaged to perform a detailed review of the client’s reports and dashboards. This activity included identifying gaps and issues, evaluating performance in the production environment, and remediating issues by updating or replacing reporting tools based on global and client-specific requirements. Within a short time frame, Clarkston assessed and reorganized the client’s reporting landscape, developing new dashboards and reports where needed. Specifically, 7 reports and 4 dashboards from the EM implementation were optimized and updated, along with an additional 22 new reporting assets created to support laboratory workflows and regulatory reporting requirements.
Clarkston’s expertise in LabVantage LIMS implementations and reporting optimization enabled the client to improve their laboratory data management and reporting functions. The project laid a strong foundation for continued digital transformation and regulatory readiness in a highly competitive and regulated industry. Through this collaboration, Clarkston enabled the client to transition smoothly into the next phase of their LabVantage LIMS implementation. By leveraging deep expertise from prior LIMS engagements, Clarkston provided valuable planning, execution, and oversight for the client’s laboratory and regulatory reporting needs.
