In part 1 of the webinar, we covered how Clarkston and Key partnered together to assess Key Food’s technology landscape in order to create an IT strategic roadmap that would lay out a plan for the grocery retailer’s digital transformation. As part of the roadmap, ERP selection was a critical step as the enterprise technology would serve as the backbone for the new infrastructure and any future technologies, applications, or digital capabilities. Ultimately selecting the innovative SAP S/4HANA for Retail solution, Key partnered with Clarkston through the implementation of SAP for Retail and subsequent initiatives, including rollouts of SAP Master Data, store portals, SAP Finance and EDI, online shopping, and more.

In part 2, we explore how Key Food used the SAP Retail industry solution to enable:

  • a technology foundation centered on flexibility to allow for rapid response to evolving shopper behavior and industry disruption,
  • a nimble and fast-paced PMO to move at the speed of retail, and
  • expanded capabilities to meet consumer demand through digital engagement, online ordering, loyalty programs, and more.

With the foundation of the SAP retail industry solution, Key Food was able to deploy new capabilities via handheld scanners, create a new, user-friendly loyalty card application process, and rapidly innovate to meet disruptive industry trends.
