Tom Finegan, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Clarkston Consulting, has defined the firm’s vision since co-founding the company nearly 30 years ago. Along with the other co-founders, Tom believes consulting firms that genuinely care about driving measurable business results for clients and create a rewarding and stimulating environment for professionals will thrive in the crowded consulting marketplace. Tom is responsible for managing the company, formulating long-term strategies, and driving growth.

Under Tom’s leadership, Clarkston has achieved an industry-leading client satisfaction rating of 97% over the last twenty years. Tom has applied his experience and leadership philosophy in his Wall Street Journal bestselling book, Amplifiers: How Great Leaders Magnify the Power of Teams, Increase the Impact of Organizations, and Turn Up the Volume on Positive Change. In his book, Tom explores how leaders can develop and nurture true Amplifiers – individuals who marry both leadership and followership to influence up, lead others, and execute the mission of the business.

Named a finalist in Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year, a 40 under 40 Leader, a Top 50 Consulting Firm CEO by The Consulting Report, and other industry awards, Tom is recognized in the industry as an entrepreneurial strategist able to bring new innovative ideas to large and emerging companies alike.  As a proven leader and a recognized expert in transformational strategy development, Tom still serves as an adviser and advocate for global life sciences, retail, and consumer products companies.
