Jerry Janis
Jerry is a director with Clarkston where he collaborates and advises life sciences and healthcare system executive leadership teams in their quest to define a strategic vision and aligned priorities that leverage market opportunities and address challenges to success in order to ultimately drive value to their respective consumers, employees and organizations.
His diverse background over the past 30 years includes Chief Strategy/Information Officer (CSO/CIO) and management consulting roles concentrated in strategic planning and IT transformation at major integrated healthcare systems, complemented with cross-industry experience in life sciences, consumer products, and retail (including healthcare laboratory services, pharmacy benefit management, retail/mail order/specialty pharmacy).
Jerry is an advocate in the battle against AIDS. He currently serves on the CAN Community Health Board of Directors, and he served on the board of Vivent Health (formerly AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin – ARCW) for six years, including three as chair. In 2019, he received the organization’s community lifetime leadership award, for leading the strategy to extend services to the most vulnerable and in-need, while doubling the organization’s operating budget to over $100 million and expanding beyond the borders of Wisconsin to reach Denver, CO, St. Louis, MO, and Austin, TX.
Jerry earned an MBA with a concentration in Finance at the George Washington University in Washington, DC, a BS in Business Administration/Marketing/English at the University at Albany – SUNY, and attended the Wharton Executive Education Program with a concentration in Strategy in Philadelphia, PA.
