Clarkston Consulting recently partnered with the manufacturer, distributor, and marketer of frozen food products for the development of a roadmap for their SAP S/4HANA system.
The roadmap provided guidance on the transition to the SAP Private Cloud (RISE) and the strategy for system upgrades. The Clarkston team conducted interviews with key stakeholders, which were used alongside an assessment of the system, to determine alignment with leading practices. This resulted in the identification of numerous process and system improvement opportunities with an impact on operational efficiency, product quality, and accuracy of data in the system.
Improvement opportunities were evaluated from an effort/benefit perspective to arrive at a recommendation on whether to implement them and to provide guidance on how to proceed with the improvements. Results of the overall analysis were sequenced to allow for near-term implementation of quick wins and time required for the organization to prepare for process changes. As a result, these improvements will allow the organization to reduce rework by achieving “Right First Time” for capture of their Operations data, labor savings through the automation of business partner interactions, and an improved ability to obtain actionable information from system data.
