A clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, preparing to launch multiple products in the U.S. market over the next five years, engaged Clarkston Consulting to centralize their program, launch and regulatory plans into a unified Smartsheet ecosystem. With numerous clinical programs, launch plans, and complex regulatory requirements, the client needed a centralized solution to efficiently manage and align cross-functional initiatives.
Clarkston conducted a series of workshops with stakeholders across functions to assess the current state, evaluate existing plans, and identify pain points and operational gaps. Based on this assessment, the team successfully migrated the client’s existing plans into a standardized best practice format. Following the conversion, standardization workshops were held with functional leads to streamline and organize content into a consistent template structure that could be adopted organization-wide for future pipeline products.
In addition, Clarkston developed customizable views to support both day-to-day task tracking and executive-level reporting. These dashboards allowed functional teams to update project statuses in real time, ensuring accurate, up-to-date information was always accessible. Automated reporting capabilities were also embedded, enabling leadership to generate insights on-demand and drive faster, data-informed decision-making.
Overall, the implementation delivered a single source of truth across multiple reports and dashboards, simplifying and automating data collection while minimizing the manual effort required to resolve discrepancies and misalignments. It provided a standardized, consistent approach to project management and status reporting, ensuring information is collected, shared, and viewed uniformly across the organization.
