What to Expect at Sapphire 2026

The Clarkston team will be at Sapphire 2026 and would love to chat. Let us know if you’re coming!

The SAP Sapphire & ASUG Annual Conference Orlando is right around the corner – are you ready?

While SAP Sapphire’s themes remain familiar, the real value comes from how those ideas take shape across each track. Viewed together, they signal where SAP is placing its bets: practical AI, stronger data foundations, and platforms built to support execution. SAP’s 2026 Orlando materials also point to an event focused on making AI more usable in the flow of work, with Joule positioned more prominently in that story.

We’re also expecting to hear additional updates about SAP’s aquisition of Reltio and what’s in store for SAP S/4HANA Cloud for GxP in the year ahead.

What to Expect

Here’s a breakdown of what to expect at Sapphire 2026 and where to spend your time.

AI Foundation

What took shape as vision-setting in 2025 now feels much more focused on execution. This track is where SAP is expected to show how AI fits into everyday work, especially through Joule and automation that can respond to business context in a more useful way.

Sessions to consider:

Business Data Cloud

This is where the AI conversation becomes more tangible. The Business Data Cloud track focuses on the data foundation required to make AI usable across the enterprise, with particular attention on architecture, governance, and timely access to insight.

Sessions to prioritize:

SAP Business Suite

This track is less about product messaging and more about how SAP is reframing the enterprise operating model. The emphasis is on connecting applications with data and AI in ways that feel more unified across the business.

Sessions to prioritize:

Business Technology Platform (BTP)

BTP still serves as the foundation, but the conversation has evolved. Rather than explaining what the platform is, SAP appears more focused on what organizations can do with it now, especially around integration, development, and AI-driven extensions.

Sessions to prioritize:

Business Transformation Management

This track takes a wider view. It focuses less on the technology itself and more on what it takes to move transformation forward, from governance decisions to architecture alignment and execution.

Sessions to prioritize:

Cloud ERP

This remains one of the most important tracks because it sits close to the core of business operations. SAP is positioning cloud ERP as more than a migration path, with greater emphasis on real-time responsiveness, embedded AI, and a clearer connection to business value.

Sessions to prioritize:

Customer Experience

This track reflects SAP’s continued focus on connected customer journeys. Expect more attention on how ERP and CX come together, with AI playing a larger role in how organizations guide engagement and respond to customer needs.

Sessions to prioritize:

Financial Management

Finance stands out as one of the areas where AI may move from concept to practical value most quickly. This track is likely to center on automation, better forecasting, and stronger support for decision-making in a more real-time finance environment.

Sessions to prioritize:

Sustainability Management

Sustainability is continuing to shift closer to core operations. SAP is framing it less as a reporting requirement and more as something that should be built into ERP, supported by business data, and reflected in day-to-day decision-making.

Sessions to prioritize:
