The client is a leading paint and coatings company undergoing a broader organizational transformation with a focus on enhancing Human Resource (HR) processes. As the company sought to streamline operations, improve communication, and better align training resources with organizational needs, they identified the necessity to enhance their HR business process documentation surrounding performance management, benefits, and large event-based training.
Clarkston provided resources to document existing business processes, develop a shared HR Programs Calendar, and create a centralized repository for training and communication assets to unlock greater efficiency and alignment.
Clarkston collaborated with 10+ business process owners, conducting interviews to understand their specific processes, document workflows, and align necessary job aids. These interviews were documented on a flexible process template, which was tailored to the individual nuances of each program and highlighted stakeholder communication and system interactions.
Following the requirements-gathering phase, Clarkston developed a comprehensive programs calendar tailored to the leadership team’s cross-functional communication needs. Some of these needs included viewing the calendar at a quarterly and monthly levels, using color coding to distinguish business functions, and leveraging a interactive dashboard capable of filtering based on imputed data. Additionally, a centralized repository was created to house all critical job aids, replacing the previous practice of storing resources on individual personal computers, ensuring greater accessibility and consistency.
Clarkston provided the client with the proper HR planning tools that help standardize, schedule, and organize key repeatable programs, enhancing the client’s overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.
