In the fiercely competitive world of consumer goods, our valued client, a key player in over-the-counter (OTC) products, confronted a significant hurdle managing profits and losses in a diverse multi-billion-dollar portfolio. Struggling with a fragmented view of key performance indicators (KPIs) through their existing MS Power BI and Tableau-based reporting setup, they turned to Clarkston’s data and analytics experts to update and streamline their reporting processes.

Following an in-depth assessment, Clarkston pinpointed the necessity for a centralized reporting system. Drawing on our expertise in data visualization, our team helped to convert disparate reports into a unified and insightful dashboard. This centralized hub facilitated real-time monitoring of critical KPIs, delivering actionable insights crucial for strategic decision-making. Our client gained clear visibility into their financial landscape, resulting in improved decision-making and overall business performance.

By offering a comprehensive solution, Clarkston empowered the client to thrive in a competitive industry, ultimately demonstrating how descriptive analytics – and powerful analytical tools – can drive insights and results. The developed waterfall chart provided a comprehensive visualization of profits and losses over time, complete with interactive filtering capabilities. The matrix design facilitated the identification of performance trends in districts and brands compared to the previous year, aiding in the formulation of targeted strategies. Additionally, the cluster bar chart enabled users to pinpoint actual differences in profits and losses across metrics, offering customizable analysis options.
