A top global supply chain services provider sought to elevate their Services Leadership Program (SLP), aimed at high-potential recent graduates and emerging leaders. Their previous CliftonStrengths-based course had a solid foundation but needed a boost in participant engagement and skill development, particularly in communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving. Seeking to refine and enhance the program, they partnered with Clarkston Consulting to design a high-impact solution.
Clarkston Consulting developed a customized two-day leadership course that aligned with participants’ roles while fostering self-awareness and practical skill development. We used the CliftonStrengths framework to deepen participants’ understanding of their unique strengths and help them leverage those strengths effectively in the workplace. Our solution included role-playing scenarios and discussion-based learning tailored to real-world challenges encountered during SLP rotations. Participants also completed CliftonStrengths assessments and received coaching to help them interpret their results, set goals, and create actionable plans.
The overall impact was significant. Participants reported feeling more connected to the organization, resulting in improved retention and engagement. They gained valuable insights into their strengths, which enabled them to tackle workplace challenges with newfound confidence. Critical skills like communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution improved, empowering participants to advocate for themselves and build stronger professional relationships. The results speak for themselves, with 100% of participants sharing that the course exceeded their expectations, would recommend it to others, and felt confident applying the skills and knowledge gained to their future work.
