The client engaged Clarkston to deliver a current end-to-end global S&OP process assessment inclusive of methodology, data exchange, capabilities, organizational support, systems, and overall functionality.

This initiative was deemed critical for the company to support the ongoing business growth and customer service responsiveness. The company was seeking guidance and tangible recommendations under a roadmap that could afford them a path to excellence in S&OP while leveraging best practices across their business units and manufacturing sites.
To accomplish this, Clarkston helped the client through a 3-phase process to assess, analyze, and compare. During the assess phase, Clarkston conducted multiple interviews across the company, reviewed a plethora of business documents and met with customers to gather the information needed to give an accurate current state. The analyze phase consisted of identifying 12 current critical challenges to the S&OP process and providing a comparison to competitors and industry specific benchmarks. The compare phase resulted in guidance and a roadmap to execute improvements across 5 identified initiatives. This included short term, mid term and long term activities to help the company progress in their S&OP journey and also prepare for a new ERP implementation down the road.
