The U.S. subsidiary of Swiss pharmaceutical and cosmetics packaging manufacturer Hoffmann Neopac has selected Wilson County for its first U.S. manufacturing plant and new North American headquarters.
Neopac US plans to add up to 44 new jobs and invest more than $30.8 million at the Wilson Corporate Park, Gov. Roy Cooper’s Office announced Monday.
Data from Capital IQ and compiled by Clarkston Consulting shows there are 507 North Carolina-based life sciences companies between Burlington and Greenville. Of those, 52 are from parent companies outside the U.S. – or roughly 10 percent.
Most recent revenue numbers for those with foreign parent companies total more than $1.7 billion, not including privately held companies that don’t publicly report those figures.
