A global pharmaceutical and biotechnology company with a successfully adopted global LIMS solution sought further optimization to enhance laboratory efficiency. To do so, they chose to integrate Empower, a chromatographic data system, with its existing LIMS platform. This integration required updating current data standards and systems to ensure seamless data flow between LIMS and Empower, ultimately supporting faster and more accurate data transfer and analysis within laboratories.
The client engaged Clarkston’s LIMS professionals to address the client’s need for optimized lab operations through system alignment, data standardization, process enhancements, and code reviews. The Clarkston team worked with the client to ensure current and new master data builds were properly aligned to enable efficient data sharing between Empower and LIMS. During the project, a new process for defect resolution and data management – without the use of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) – was leveraged for the first time. Clarkston successfully implemented this new process, completing all associated tasks within LIMS, eliminating the use of ALM and creating a more streamlined process for the client that utilized less resources.
Clarkston’s expertise delivered improvements across their laboratory operations, including increased efficiency and enhanced defect resolution. This has allowed the client to expand its laboratory operations for continued growth and innovation in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
