Triangle Business Journal Names Irene Birbeck a 40 Under 40 Award Winner

Triangle Business Journal on Tuesday unveiled the second batch of its 2019 class of 40 Under 40 Leadership Awards winners.

TBJ is again releasing the winners in groups of 10. The second grouping appears in the accompanying slideshow. The announcements will come in consecutive days and groups were selected in no particular order.

The 40 Under 40 awards recognize outstanding professionals under the age of 40 for their contributions to their organizations and to the community.

Six judges, made up of leaders in the local business community and TBJ leaders, pored over nearly 250 nominations to come up with the final list of 40 winners in the 2019 class.

This year’s class will be honored at an awards dinner June 27 at North Ridge Country Club in Raleigh. TBJ will profile the winners in a special section that will be published in its June 28 subscriber edition.

“These winners reflect the entrepreneurial spirit and the economic prowess of the diverse community in which we live and work,” says TBJ Publisher Jason Christie. “The Triangle is a better place because of the efforts of these honorees. I’m proud to know that the future of this area is in such good hands.”

As in years past, the winners are also invited and encouraged to give back to the local community by participating in TBJ’s 40 Under 40 Habitat build with Habitat for Humanity of Wake County.
