This client is a public benefit pharmaceutical manufacturing company dedicated to providing high-quality, low-cost pharmaceuticals through state-of-the-art, U.S. based advanced manufacturing processes. As the client was growing, they were looking for a partner to help them put their efforts in the right places at the right time. The client was seeking support to start their organization early on a top-tier digital core solution, help the organization get acclimated to and aligned with leading practice early.

The goal of the project was to develop a strategic plan, architecture, and roadmap for strategic information systems for end-to-end supply chain visibility, evaluating the proposed growth plans, key business milestones, dependencies, and the supporting technology that will be needed for scale.
The team first conducted strategic visioning workshops to make sure there was alignment between the client, their business milestones, and their strategic partners. Next, the team held functional workshops to deep dive into different organizational areas’ IT system needs, connecting teams, and driving decisions towards holistic system decisions. As a result of this discussion, the team was able to shift the discussion from speed to impact, building out a roadmap based on functional requirements and manageable implementation for internal teams from both a budget and workload perspective.
Ultimately, the team developed a strategic roadmap, architecture, and plant systems blueprint. Through this project, the team drove alignment between senior management and strategic partners on obtainable mid-term goals, IT strategic priorities, and critical next steps. Moreover, the team was able to continue working with the client on implementation of the identified system as well as a Digital Plant Strategy project that was identified as a need through the roadmap workshops.
