Personal Brand Building: Taking Stock with Michelle Tartalio
Remember the first time you Googled your own name? For me, I am not even sure it was Google….It was so long ago, it might have been Yahoo or even Ask Jeeves! Whichever it was, I remember it being such a novel concept at the time and more about curiosity and a glimpse into a world of others who shared your name. Now, your personal brand is largely dependent on your public persona, which is derived in large part from your digital presence.
From senior executives to first year entrants in the job market, there is an intense focus on your personal brand and what it says about you. Historically, people thought about their personal brand, and what it represents, only as they considered new career opportunities. However, more and more, you must ensure that your personal brand is always out there, as it makes you a more effective employee of your organization, a more effective partner to your clients, and a more valuable resource to your colleagues.
This week, I am excited to welcome Michelle Tartalio to Taking Stock. Michelle is a Partner at Clarkston and leads our marketing efforts and corporate strategy. She has advised clients around why it is so important to get their brands out to the market, where to focus, how to identify what is unique differentiated about their brand, and key steps to take in building that message in a digital world. In addition to our discussion around these topics, Michelle will share her perspective, perhaps most importantly, about how to ensure that your personal brand is authentic and resonates in the market.
