Clarkston Consulting Accepting Applications for 2017 Clarkston Scholars Program

DURHAM, NC and WAYNE, PA  |  January 11, 2017 — Clarkston Consulting, a leading management and technology consulting firm, continues to accept applications for the 2017 Clarkston Scholars program.

Through a collaborative partnership between Clarkston Consulting and Life Sciences Pennsylvania, the Clarkston Scholars program awards a $10,000 scholarship over a two-year period to a sophomore attending a four-year undergraduate program in Pennsylvania and majoring in a field of study related to life sciences. The Clarkston Scholar also benefits from exposure to the life science industry through mentoring opportunities with Clarkston Consulting and participation in Life Sciences Pennsylvania events.

A Clarkston Scholar is a highly-motivated student who excels in the classroom, has a focused interest and passion for the life sciences industry, and intends to enter the industry upon graduation.

“Each year, we find ourselves inspired by the dedication and talent of the Clarkston Scholar applicants,” said Clarkston Consulting Partner and Life Sciences Industry Leader Janel Firestein. “It’s a privilege to collaborate with Life Sciences Pennsylvania and offer this opportunity to the minds that will shape tomorrow’s life science industry.”

“We are proud to continue our support of the Clarkston Scholars program, and award it to a deserving scholar in front of more than 1,000 industry leaders at our annual dinner in March,” said Christopher P. Molineaux, President and CEO, Life Sciences Pennsylvania. “This scholarship is a meaningful way to encourage and develop future leaders in the life sciences industry.”

Since the Clarkston Scholars Program began in 2011, four students have been awarded the scholarship. “My goal is to use science to make a difference in the world, and the Clarkston Scholarship is a tremendous opportunity to further my understanding of what it takes to reach this goal,” stated Daniel Lundgren, 2016 Clarkston Scholar.
