Clarkston Consulting was mentioned by WRAL TechWire on the surge in high-tech jobs hiring in the area from the Clarkston Consulting and Momentum sponsored NCTA report each month. An excerpt from the article is included below:

“As analysts and reports continue to signal a return to the country’s pre-pandemic economy, employers are looking to invest in resources and skills that can help make up for the last year of delayed progress and stunted innovation,” the report notes.

The May total is the third highest since January as the economy recovery took root. Only the 40,482 total in March and 38,777 in February were higher.

“This continues the trend of recovery from the early COVID economic impact, since April and May of last year saw a pause on hiring, whereas April and May of this year have reached near-peak job openings over the past 12 months,” said NC TECH’S CEO Brooks Raiford.

Compared to May of last year, the increase is startling – 23,058 to 36,947 – according to data from NC TECH and sponsors Clarkston Consulting and Momentum.

Fayetteville, meanwhile, is one of the hottest job markets with openings soaring nearly 70% to 1,690.
