Clarkston Consulting Presents Scholarship at Pennsylvania Bio Awards Dinner

DURHAM, NC and PHILADELPHIA, PA  |  March 11, 2016 – Clarkston Consulting has announced the recipient of the 2016 Clarkston Scholars Program recognizing highly driven students who excel in the classroom, have a passion for life sciences, and intend to enter the industry upon graduation.

2016 recipient, Daniel Lundgren, is a University of Pennsylvania sophomore from Malmö, Sweden.  Enrolled in the Roy and Diana Vagelos Program in Life Sciences & Management, Daniel is passionate about research, and has been involved in campus projects ranging from health policy and precision medicine in the clinic, to the molecular basis of disease in the lab.

“My goal is to use science to make a difference in the world, and the Clarkston Scholarship is a tremendous opportunity to further my understanding of what it takes to reach this goal,” stated Lundgren. “After graduation, I plan to pursue an advanced degree in a scientific or medical discipline and ultimately enter the biotech industry. It is a privilege to join the Clarkston community, and I look forward to building relationships with, and learning from, industry leaders.”

In addition to the $10,000 scholarship, Mr. Lundgren will receive exposure to the industry through mentoring with Clarkston Consulting and participation in Pennsylvania Bio events. Daniel was honored at the Pennsylvania Bio Annual Dinner March 10, 2016.

“We are proud to continue our support of the Clarkston Scholars program and the future leaders of our industry,” said Christopher P. Molineaux, President & CEO of Pennsylvania Bio.

“We congratulate Daniel, and look forward to the contributions that he will make to the Pennsylvania life sciences industry,” added Life Sciences Partner Janel Firestein.
